The Highlander Band was named Grand Champion at the Mansfield Preview of Champions on September 28, 2019 — with a caption award for Outstanding Visual Effect! After the preliminary round, the band also placed first among Class B bands, first place overall, won caption awards for Best Music and Best Visual Presentation for Class B, and Brandon Luk was named Best Soloist overall from among 26 bands. Congratulations to these outstanding students and their Directors!
